Players are required to attend all practices and games, and adhere to all team, Ida B. Wells High School, Portland Interscholastic League and OSAA rules pertaining to athletic eligibility, behavior, class attendance and grades.

We require all players to agree to the following:

Participation on the Ida B. Wells High School Men’s Lacrosse Team is the player’s choice and is a privilege, not a right. No student is required to take part in this activity. Therefore, it is imperative that all members understand the following rules and responsibilities, and acknowledge that the Ida B. Wells High School Men’s Lacrosse Team, and its coaches and program coordinators have every right to revoke these privileges for improper behavior. As a member of this team, the player agrees to abide by all OHSLA and Ida B. Wells High School Men’s Lacrosse Team rules.

As a member of the team, participant agrees to:

• Compete intensely on the field, but always conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.
• Represent themselves and their team, reflecting the highest standards of Lacrosse, their school and their team.
• Respect all officials, coaches, opponents, fans and teammates.
• Refrain from using profanity, taunting or illegal tactics.
• Conduct themselves according to the established rules of the game.
• Obey all rules set forth by the OHSLA, high school coaching staffs and/or tournament, clinic or event organizers.
• Abide by the attendance and minimum grade requirements as established by Ida B. Wells High School and Portland Public Schools regarding athletic eligibility.
• Refrain from using any alcohol or tobacco products.
• Remain free of all abusive or illegal drugs (marijuana, narcotics, steroids, Controlled Substances, etc.)
